Layla is an audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, podcast producer, and educator based out of Northern California.
She is a staff engineer at Tiny Telephone in Oakland and Studio Supervisor at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.
She previously engineered and taught at Women’s Audio Mission in San Francisco where she also served as Studio Coordinator, wrote curriculum for Girls on the Mic classes and taught WAM’s “Pro Tools for Absolute Beginners” class.
A lifelong musician, Layla started in audio working live sound for her local public access TV studio and at multiple UCLA venues including Jan Popper Theater, Schoenberg Hall, and UCLA Radio in-station performances. She has also run sound for Hotel Utah, The Cats, and the Athenian School music and theater departments.
Layla is the producer and engineer of The Cancer Patient Podcast and has composed music for several podcasts.
